How I Work

There are many reasons why I do this work.  First and foremost, I love it.  Hearing peoples' stories is a true honor. To be on the listening end of a client's process, the experiences they have had and their impact, is something I hold with high regard and great care. 

I believe each person is the expert of his/her own experience.  I work collaboratively with clients, using my training to help guide them towards deeper self-awareness, understanding and acceptance.  It is in this process that clients begin to identify the obstacles blocking them from living a richer, more fulfilling and joyful life.  Once this process is in motion, there is room and the opportunity for increased agency and positive change.

We are diverse, multifaceted beings.  Every individual is defined and impacted by various aspects of their identity.  Race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, and age are some of the components of one's identity.  I actively work to engage clients in conversation and deeper exploration of how these parts of their identity influence how they experience and move through the world.
